Safety at work and prevention of health problems are highly important factors in the offshore industry. All manned offshore installations are legally obliged to have facilities for medical care. This means that a medic should be available 24 hours per day; a qualified nurse trained specifically and frequently, with plenty of experience in emergency care. USG Energy's Medical Services business unit provides a full package of medical services which includes the following services:

• Consignment and employment of qualified medical personnel on offshore installations
• Recruitment and selection of BIG registered nurses with experience on A&E or on an ambulance
• Provision of medical back-up
• Possible supplementary medical services, such as hygiene inspections, drug supplies and sick bay surveillance
